I am not addressing this to anybody and I really do not expect to find the answers for the questions posed here.
Searching for the "Purpose of life", "Art of living", sins & merits, all these are completely artificial and is probably a brain-child of those who have taken upon themselves to save mind-kind. Civilization leads men to their doom, not just every human-being, but also to all living forms on earth.
All the so-called enlightened, in my opinion (if at all there's a thing called 'en-lightenment' in the true sense) honestly are, trying not to live in conflict with the soceity that they find themselves in. They really have nothing to teach, because they know that whatever they have fallen in to, is something un-teachable (if such a word exists). They always prefer to be left alone. But when humans approach them, the gnani simply wants to keep them out of worry. This wish that they wish, is enough to draw forces that help the human-in-trouble to overcome his worry - for the time being. Soon, based on the nature of this man-in-trouble, another worry starts to torment him, unless he gets smart and learns by himself, how to get off from this endless delusion. One man's nature cannot be controlled by another, even if he's a Gnani.
"I am a man - an unenlightened-man" , "an enlightened man", "an intellectual", "an idiot" , " a brilliant", "a fool", "a disciplined one", "careless" are all concepts accepted by YOU.
These concepts were created for you even before your entry in to this world. You are forced to acquire these concepts already created by people around you. To be treated as a "sane" person in the society, you need to define yourself with whatever they have provided you with. There's nothing really new that can come forth from you. Whatever you consider new, is nothing but a modified form of the old. With all these concepts, you create an image of yourself. This is really the definition of the term "Creation". With this has begun all trouble. Now you know who is the "Creator" of your universe :-)
The opposite concept (still a concept, no doubt), which has gained popularity is the "Destroyer". I don't quiet agree with this as well. Whatever is created is only a concept and in order to destroy it, you'll bring-in more and more concepts which have been acquired - thinking that it'll break all the images you have built. It only strengthens and fortifies. It replaces one concept with another, never rooting them out completely.
By knowing more and more, one cannot demolish the image altogether. I see a vicious circle here , from which there is no way out. We are the way we are, because mankind is the way it is and there isn't anything we can do to change anything here. Again, this "need to change something" is got to be an artificial urge planted in to the human thinking mind. It is clearly a jungle we live in, and any efforts to mould the 7 billion+ people in to a single definition of a "Good" human being, which our so-called "civilization"/ "education" / "religion" are trying to do, will surely end in tragedy.
The best is still the age-old "law of the jungle" -- keep yourself out of conflict with the society you live in, think its thoughts, speak its language.
Do not change anything in yourself, or in society, you'll only end up disappointed.
Presence of :
Hope proves hopelessness,
Food proves hunger,
Aim proves aimlessness,
Similarly, the urge to change something proves that there is something fundamental that cannot be changed at all.
Until all these artificial drives/urges are banished -- goes away from our system, there is no way out.
Once freed from them, saved from the "saviours of mankind", saved from the very idea that "we need to be saved" -- then mankind will no longer be a threat to the planet - to the nature.
Worry, urge-to-improve, suffering, will be alien to him, because happiness-joy-bliss are also equally alien. Enlightened ones will never again be bothered by anyone.
This articile should be forgotten immediately after reading it. Thinking about it only helps in building the fortress of concepts.
